What are dental implants?

Dental implants are a strong, stable, and very natural-looking way to restore one or more missing teeth and complete your smile. They are seen as a superior dental restoration, using titanium posts inserted into your jawbone to create a fixed new tooth root. The implant fuses to the surrounding bone to become a solid and durable foundation for a custom-made crown or bridge fitted on top.

Implants are seen as a superior restorative option. They can boost your self-esteem and significantly improve your quality of life, giving you a full and secure smile to be proud of. You can talk and smile in public without the worry that your teeth will slip or move, and confidently eat whatever you choose. Trust dental implants at Thornhill Dental for beautiful and long-lasting replacement teeth.

Frequently asked questions

Most people are good candidates for dental implants, providing they are in good oral and general health and there is enough bone density present in the jaw. If you have enough bone density, then having an implant shouldn’t be a problem, as it will be able to fuse and heal properly. If there has been any loss of bone, we can use a bone graft to replenish the tissue and increase the chances of implant success.
