EMERGENCIES AND URGENT CARE

Thornhill Dental is proud to offer a fixed cost urgent care service to both regular and non-regular patients. Thornhill Dental has an excellent team of friendly, experienced, highly skilled dentists who are ready to help you with your problem. Our practice has been helping people like yourself for over 30 years and has a long standing reputation for providing the highest quality dental healthcare in a comfortable and welcoming environment.

We are pleased to offer an urgent dental care appointment on a private basis at a fixed cost of £80. This gives you the reassurance that your immediate dental problems will be cared for without an unexpected bill at the end. This appointment is ideal for patients who are experiencing dental problems such as:

• Dental pain and toothache
• Uncontrollable bleeding
• Injury due to impact or trauma
• Swelling
• De-bonded crowns, bridges and veneers

The £80 fee for the urgent care appointment includes the following as required:

•  
• Clinical assessment and diagnosis
• Clinical advice and discussion
• Standard x-rays (limited to 1)
• Issue of private prescription for antibiotics (sundries sold separately)
• Referral to secondary care
• Re-cement of a crown, bridge or veneer
• Temporary treatment including:
  • Temporary dressings
  • Temporary fillings

These services will be enough to help you with all common urgent dental needs. If you require any permanent treatment or restorations following your urgent care, your dentist will be able to provide you with an exact quote for the treatment. It may not be possible to carry out the permanent treatment or restoration at the same visit as your urgent care.

We offer appointments from 8.15 am on weekdays and have late evening clinics on a Tuesday and Wednesday. We also offer clinics on selected Saturday mornings. Please be aware that exact appointment times are subject to availability. If you call before 9am, we will endeavour to offer you an appointment the same day (subject to availability and we may need to triage appointments on busy days in order to prioritise the patients with the most urgent needs).

Please be aware that the fee for the appointment is payable at the time of booking. In the event that you fail to attend your appointment or fail to provide us with 24 hours’ notice of cancellation, the full fee will be non-refundable.
