Graeme-TattersfieldGraeme Tattersfield BChD MFGDP (UK) RCS Eng – GDC No. 58197

Practice Principal

Graeme graduated from Leeds University in 1983 with a degree in Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BChD). In June 2001 he obtained his MFGDP (UK) from the Royal College of Surgeons in London. Graeme is the practice principal and established the practice in 1987.

Graeme is a lifelong supporter of Huddersfield Town Football Club and Thornhill Dental are a patron of the Terriers Together initiative. Graeme is part of Huddersfield’s ‘Equality, Diversity and Inclusion External Advisor Group’ and provides support for the initiative.

Graeme retired from clinical dentistry on 1st June 2022 along with his wife, Jenny. Graeme and Jenny spend as much time as possible with their Grandchildren, Laurie and Luna, trips to the ‘Nanavan’ in Filey, cycling trips and holidays abroad.

You may see Graeme and Jenny from time to time in the practice as they are still involved in the management of the practice. If you see Graeme and Jenny around, please do say hello!

Andrew-WallworkAndrew Wallwork BChD – GDC No. 69831

General Dental Practitioner

Andy qualified from the Leeds Dental Institute in 1993 with a Degree in Bachelor of Dental Surgery. After graduating he completed a year of vocational training at Thornhill Dental and has been part of the practice team ever since.

Andy enjoys the varied challenges of working as a general dental practitioner, enjoys providing aesthetic dentistry, improving patient’s smiles and seeing the confidence this can bring.

Andy has a particular interest in Occlusion and TMD – treating patients with problem bites and head and neck pain related to their bites. Andy is a member of the British Society of Occlusal Studies.

Andy is a firm believer in preventive dentistry, tailoring advice to meet patient’s specific needs and reducing the need for invasive treatment. He treats all patients with aesthetic, minimally invasive techniques using modern materials and equipment to preserve teeth, just as he would want his own teeth to be treated.

Andy is currently undertaking a 12-month Postgraduate Certificate of Contemporary Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry in Birmingham.

Outside of work, Andy is married, enjoys playing 5-a-side football, running, music and spending time with his family and friends.

 Christopher-anderson Christopher Anderson BChD – GDC No. 153934

General Dental Practitioner

Chris graduated from Leeds University in 2008 with honours. Following a period of further training whilst working for the Bradford Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery team, he gained his MJDF from the Royal College of Surgeons in London in 2010. He has worked in general practice in Yorkshire since, and joined the practice team in 2014. Chris enjoys all aspects of general dentistry with the variety that general practice brings. He also works as an Educational Supervisor for the Yorkshire Deanery, assisting and supervising the training and development of newly graduated dental surgeons.

Outside of work Chris enjoys spending time with his young family. He enjoys many sports and is a keen follower of Bradford Bulls and Bradford City and is currently coaching a junior rugby team.

Rosie graduated from Newcastle University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree (BDS). After this, Rosie moved to the Leeds area where she gained a wealth of experience working in both general practice and at Leeds Dental Institute.

She then went on to complete her MJDF exam in 2016 and is in the process of completing a Diploma in Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry. Rosie has a passion for minimally invasive cosmetic dental treatments and loves creating smile makeovers with Invisalign, tooth whitening, composite bonding and veneers.

Rosie also has a level 7 qualification in Cosmetic Injectables for Aesthetic Medicine. Her ethos is providing natural facial aesthetic treatments that are tailored to the individual patient. She loves to adopt a holistic approach helping patients to prevent and restore signs of ageing, maintain healthy skin and ultimately feel their best.

Rosie has clinics at the practice on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. She is very pleased to welcome new patients including adults on a private basis.

Jessica CrowtherJessica Crowther BDS MJDF RCS (Eng) – GDC No. 265328

General Dental Practitioner

Jessica graduated from Newcastle University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree (BDS). She moved back to the local area to work in general dental practice, community dental service and hospital. This has provided her with the opportunity to continue to develop her skills in multiple environments.

She has a particular interest in preventative dentistry and creating an environment that makes the patient as comfortable as possible while in the dental surgery. These are skills that she continues to develop in community dentistry working with phobic, paediatric and adult special care patients.

Jessica enjoys cooking, walking and skiing in her spare time with friends and family.

Jessica has clinics at the practice on Monday and Tuesday.

Kristof Dos RemediosKristof Dos Remedios BDS BSc Hons – GDC No. 277943

General Dental Practitioner

Kristof graduated as a dentist from Newcastle University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS). He also holds a degree in Biomedical Sciences (BSc Hons). After graduating, he completed his foundation training in Manchester, which kick started his interest in preventative dentistry. He then moved to Leeds and has been working in West Yorkshire ever since.

Kristof has completed a year long Postgraduate Restorative course with the Fresh Dental Institute in London. This advanced, comprehensive course helped to enhance Kristof’s existing skills and knowledge, in order to provide the best possible care to his patients. Later this year, he will be embarking on a 10 day course with SimplyEndo to enhance his root canal treatments.

Whilst he enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, he has a particular passion for prevention and minimally invasive dentistry. His calm and caring approach puts patients first and helps to make everyone feel at ease from the very start!

Outside of dentistry, Kristof enjoys travelling, spending time with friends and family and looking after his house rabbits, Oreo and Bella.

Anish MandlaAnish Mandla, MDDr PGCert Endodontics – GDC No. 179202

Since graduating in 2009 Anish has worked within general practice in London, Windsor and in Yorkshire.

Anish understands that it is often daunting putting your faith in someone new and would like to introduce himself and explain a little about how he practices.

He is an incredibly enthusiastic and personable member of our team. His mantra encompasses a minimally invasive and preventive approach. This focuses on preserving as much of the natural tooth structure as possible.

His caring and gentle approach to patient care has made him popular with apprehensive patients. For Anish, the most rewarding aspect of his work is when he is able to use his calm and amiable nature to assist in putting his patients at ease.

Commitment to continued learning is important to him, demonstrating this desire for knowledge by regularly attending courses in the U.K. and Europe.

This enables him to provide a leading edge approach to both general and more advanced aesthetic dentistry. His areas of interest include endodontics (root canal therapy), restorative dentistry and orthodontics.

Outside of dentistry he enjoys cycling and spending time with his beloved wife and baby boy.

In 2019, Aadil graduated from the iconic city of Valencia in sunny Spain after completing his degree in biomedical science in 2014.

Travelling from Bradford, Aadil carried out his training year in Sheffield. Aadil has clinics at Thornhill Dental on a Thursday and Friday alongside his commitments in Bradford on other days.

Aadil enjoys all aspects of general dentistry however is keen to progress in restorative dentistry in the coming years.

Outside of dentistry, Aadil enjoys travelling, playing racket sports and spending time with family and friends.

Maria CoboMaria Cobo LIC ODENT (Madrid) – GDC No. 187506

General Dental Practitioner

Maria Cobo, originally qualified in Madrid, Spain in 2009, made the transition to the UK in 2010, where she embarked on her career as a dentist. Over the period spanning from 2010 to 2015, she garnered valuable experience in both NHS and private general dental practice. Since then, she has continuously honed her skills through postgraduate studies in the UK and overseas.

In 2014, Maria successfully completed a two-year diploma course at Uclan University, laying a strong foundation in knowledge and skills for dental implant treatment. Subsequently, in 2017, she achieved an MSc in oral surgery, dental implant, and prosthodontics after a rigorous two-year full-time program. These years saw her gain expertise in complex surgical and restorative procedures related to dental implantology.

Maria’s commitment to professional development led her to a minimally invasive soft tissue course with Dr. Allen at Dallas University in 2018, where she acquired expertise in managing soft tissue in teeth and dental implants. Her pursuit of excellence also involved undertaking advanced implantology courses in various international locations renowned for their leadership in the field, including the USA, Italy, Austria, Madrid, and Germany.

Further showcasing her dedication to her craft, Maria holds a certificate in Advanced Periodontal, peri-implant, soft tissue, and cosmetic therapy from London. Her deep interest in advancing laser therapy treatment in dental procedures forms a cornerstone of her surgical approach, prioritizing minimal intervention techniques that contribute to faster healing and a painless, trouble-free recovery for her patients.

With a focus on creating life-transforming smiles, Maria underscores her meticulous treatment planning, aimed at restoring not only her patients’ beautiful smiles but also their complete dental function. Her dedication to her patients’ well-being shines through, as she is passionate about providing both restorative and surgical dental treatments and believes in the power of a collaborative team approach.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Maria’s diverse interests encompass golf and skiing. Holly ShreeveHolly Shreeve DipDH DipDT – GDC No. 252975

Dental Therapist & Hygienist

Holly graduated from the University of Sheffield as a Dental Hygiene Therapist. Prior to this Holly has always been actively involved in the dental industry predominantly working as a Dental Nurse.

Holly has always had a passion for working with people and prides herself on her caring and empathetic approach in supporting patients improve their oral health. Holly’s passion led her to volunteering in Tanzania to assist with the deteriorating dental health of the local population. Educating people and spreading information is something which is very close to Holly’s heart.

When Holly is not in her dental scrubs, you’ll find her at the gym! Holly often participates in multi-functional fitness competitions which she loves. Outside of the gym Holly enjoys time outdoors with her little sausage dog, Mabel.

Rebecca MillsRebecca Mills DipDH DipDT – GDC No. 231201

Dental Therapist & Hygienist

Rebecca qualified as a Dental Therapist in 2016 from the University of Sheffield. Prior to this, Rebecca was a qualified Dental Nurse for 4 years and has assisted in many areas of dentistry.

Since qualifying, Rebecca has gained a vast amount of experience in restorative work and has a keen interest in preventative and paediatric dentistry.

Rebecca likes to make sure that every patient attending the practice feels relaxed and well cared for. She will take her time to answer any questions and always deliver tailored oral health education to her patients.

In her spare time Rebecca enjoys spending time with her partner and little boy. She loves the cinema, walks around the countryside and cooking for her friends.

Bethany ReidBethany Reid BSc – GDC No. 271947

Dental Therapist & Hygienist

Beth qualified from the University of Leeds with a BSc degree in Dental Hygiene and Therapy. Her journey in dentistry began in 2015 when she started her career as a dental nurse. Over the years, she has worked in various dental settings, gaining invaluable insights into patient care.

Beth understands that every individual’s oral health needs are unique, and she takes the time to listen to her patients’ concerns and goals. She aims to create a comfortable environment for patients, ensuring they feel at ease during their visits.

Beth is dedicated to educating her patients about oral hygiene practices and preventive care, empowering them to take care of their oral health. When not brightening smiles and improving oral health, Beth enjoys spending time with her family and friends, exploring the outdoors, and staying active through various hobbies and interests.

Daisy TannerDasiy Tanner BSc – GDC No. 309087

Dental Therapist & Hygienist

Daisy graduated from the University of Leeds with a degree in Dental Hygiene and Therapy and is currently studying a degree in Dental Surgery at the University of Leeds. The hard work never stops!

Daisy highly values providing patient-centred care, in an environment where all patients feel safe and heard. Daisy recognises the importance of preventative dental care and is passionate about making a difference. Daisy is dedicated to communicating with all patients and is currently undertaking training in British Sign Language.

For Daisy, the most rewarding part of her role is educating her patients and equipping them with the knowledge and skills required to improve and maintain their own oral health.

Outside of dentistry and studying, Daisy can be heard singing, going to the gym, and visiting her family home in Kent.

Gillian-cliffeGillian Cliffe RDH – GDC No. 5491

Hygienist

Gill gained her diploma in dental hygiene at Leeds University in 1999. Prior to working as a dental hygienist she worked as a dental nurse for 15 years. Gill joined Thornhill Dental in August 2000 and runs a Saturday morning clinic. Gill has also worked as a staff hygienist at Leeds Dental Institute for 3 years gaining valuable dental hygiene experience. Gill has a passion for periodontology as well as caring for nervous patients.

Gill is married with a daughter. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and loves reading. Additionally, she is currently trying to master the art of pottery. Gill has recently undertaken – for the 2nd year running – the Aspire Channel Swim which is a sponsored event and is a total of 44 miles, the equivalent of swimming the channel there and back. Aspire provide support for people who are paralysed by Spinal Cord Injuries.

Paige BartleyPaige Bartley – GDC No. 265781

Care Coordinator

Paige achieved her Dental Nurse qualification in August 2016, earning a Level 3 QCF City & Guilds Diploma. Since then, Paige has gained valuable experience and knowledge in multiple areas of dentistry.

Since joining Thornhill Dental in October 2020, Paige has been actively engaged in multiple responsibilities, including reception, nursing duties and now patient care coordination.

Throughout her dental nursing career, Paige has been involved with various charitable organisations such as “The Junk Food Project” and “DentAid,” and she even participated in a two-week dental mission in Malawi. Paige married her husband, Sam in April 2023 and they enjoy travelling to sunny destinations together.

Laura SilcoxLaura Silcox – GDC No. 287583

Care Coordinator

Laura completed her Level 3 Diploma QCF City and Guilds qualification in Dental Nursing at Wakefield College in 2020.

In the initial phase of her career, Laura quickly realised that the most gratifying aspect of her role was witnessing the impact of dental treatment on patients. From witnessing their improved health to observing a boost in their self-confidence, these experiences motivated her to aspire to become a Care Coordinator, so she could help in the planning of their dental treatment.

In 2022, Laura joined Thornhill Dental, where she initially worked as a dental nurse before transitioning to her hybrid role as a Treatment Coordinator and Dental Nurse. In March 2023, Laura got married, so she is happily enjoying her time with her new husband, and enjoying the time with their adorable cocker spaniel, Lottie.

Leah CheshamLeah Chesham – GDC No. 257406

Care Coordinator

Leah completed her dental nurse training in June 2015, achieving a Level 3 diploma in Dental Nursing from City and Guilds. Leah has been a patient at Thornhill Dental herself since being 3 years old and immediately joined Team TD after qualifying in 2015.

Leah takes every opportunity to get involved in charity work at the practice, participating in events such as Mind’s midnight walk, MacMillan coffee mornings, Team TD Together’s Tea & Talk and most recently volunteering with Yorkshire Wildlife Trust as part of ‘Terrific Together Time’ at Thornhill Dental.

Alongside her dental nurse duties, Leah also serves as a receptionist and has progressed into care coordination as she is dedicated to providing excellent patient focused care. Outside of work, Leah married her childhood sweetheart in October 2023 and enjoys spending time in the countryside with her partner Dom and Ozzy the dog.
